Grandmas House – Slaughterhouse
Grandmas House returns with Slaughterhouse, a ferocious new single from their upcoming EP Anything For You (out April 11 via Duchess Box Records). The UK punk trio dives deep into love, loss, and obsession, delivering a raw and cathartic track.
Described by the band as a love song, Slaughterhouse isn’t your typical romantic ballad. It wrestles with anticipatory grief, the weight of pain and illness, and the sacrifices we make for those we love. Inspired in part by Richard Siken’s poem wishbone—specifically the haunting line, “I’ll be your slaughterhouse, your killing floor, your morgue and final resting”—the song channels these themes into jagged punk riffs and anthemic intensity.
